If you answered yes to any or all of these questions its likely that you will need a physiotherapy intervention to resolve your pain. Do you need a GP referral?
No you can book a physiotherapy treatment without a referral from a GP.
I think i am too sore to go to the physiotherapist, should I still go?
If you think physiotherapy might be too painful at present and you are in alot of distress please contact your physiotherapist prior to booking an appointment so they can assess and decide on the best course of action. In some cases, if an injury like an ankle sprain is very recent but very painful your physio can still treat and help your injury by using non painful techniques such as strapping. Never assume physiotherapy won’t help.
