Knee Pain

Knee pain is very common in our society today and can be caused by our lifestyles. A cycle of sitting all day then doing exercises without proper stretching is the most common cause. This constant cycle of sedentary positions then vigorous exercise without proper stretching can lead to knee pain.

The knee is just two bones that sit on top of each other. It’s controlled not only by your thigh muscles but also the stability of your hip and ankle. Our experienced physiotherapists can assess your entire body to find the root cause of your injury and subsequently tailor a rehabilitation program to meet your specific needs.

Try some basic stretches on the front of your thighs or hips – stick to ones with which you’re comfortable. Each stretch should be held for approximately 20 seconds to stimulate the muscles cells to relax. Repeat each one two or three times. Do NOT attempt complex stretching positions when you are in pain.

If you’re not sure whether or not physiotherapy can help, don’t hesitate to contact us for a complimentary consultation. We’ll discuss your symptoms and see if our services are the right course of treatment for you.
