Hip Pain

HIP AND PELVIS PAIN
Most physiotherapists utilize massage and mobilization around the hip to resolve pain in that area. However, this not resolve the underlying cause of your pain. You may feel relief for a short period of time, only for the pain to return later.

WHAT CAUSES IT
Your hips and pelvis are the most influential joints in the body – the hips transfer load into your pelvis during walking and disperse the load evenly up the spine. Problems arise when that load isn’t transferred evenly.

HOW WE ASSESS YOUR PAIN
By having you complete a series of functional movements, we perform a thorough biomechanical assessment of your hips and pelvis. This tests the integrity and function of your knees, ankles and shoulders along with the hip to give us an overall picture of how your body is moving and working as a system and identify from where your pain may be originating. Based on these results, we’ll utilize advanced manual therapy techniques to reduce your pain and resolve the dysfunction causing it.
