How does Qi flow through the body
Qi flows through the body in rivers called meridians. Needles are placed along these meridians that the needles are placed. The needles are placed to in areas best suited to restore the flow of qi based on the patients symptoms.
Physiotherapy and Acupuncture
Our Chartered Physiotherapists are highly skilled individuals who use acupuncture in conjunction with many other techniques to relieve pain. Furthermore they have completed courses endorsed by the BAA (British Acupuncture Association). This allows them to practice Acupuncture within the scope of physiotherapy.
Hence physiotherapists can use it as a method of relieving pain but not as a therapy for curing systemic illnesses. Furthermore when acupuncture is used in combination with physiotherapy the healing times may be reduced.
