Diarmuid is the Principal Physiotherapist here at Stepaside Physiotherapy. He has a wealth of experience in both private practice settings, in Uk Ireland Australia and New Zealand, and profesional sport, having been part of the Medical team for New Zealand Tag rugby and the Emirate’s International Rugby 7’s Tournaments.
Diamruid Qualified with MSc Physiotherapy in 2009 from RGU Aberdeen, Scotland. After completes 2 years of rotations in with NHS Lothain in Edinburgh he progressed to employement in private practice in ireland and New Zeland.
Diarmuid returned from 4 years in New Zealand in 2015, where he gained invaluable experience working in University Physio and with many sports teams in the area while also acehived qualification in both Orthpeadic Manual Therapy (Curtain University, Perth, Austraila) and Sports Medicine (University of Auckland).
He has a keen interest in complex sports injury and has worked with many international competitions and professional teams such as New Zealand Tag Rugby, Tonga Tag Rugby, Scotland Rugby and the Emirates Rugby 7’s tour.
Diarmuid is also in the process of completing this Strenght and Conditioning qualification, which will be finised by end of 2018.
Diarmuid has a keen interest in complex biomechanical issues and motor control patterns involving low back pain and lower limb injuries. He adopts the ethos of analysing your symptoms, and areas of pain, to get to the root cause of your injury through a detailed analysis of your, injury history and an in depth holistic assessment of the musculoskeletal system thus providing relief to even the most complex pain patterns.

Along with a multitude of other courses relating to the Hip, Lumbar spine, Sacroiliac Joints and upper limb injury’s. Diarmuid is a keen sports person regularly enjoys Gaelic football, boxing, snowboarding and crossfit.
Conor Tierney- Rehabilitation Specialist
Conor has just recently joined our team and comes from an excellent backround with both extensive academic qualifications and exceptional work experience in both private practice and professional sport settings.
He is a qualified Atheletic Therapist and is certified by Athletic Rehabilitation Therapy Ireland (ARTI). This qualification is recognised by Irish Life Health Insurance and customers of these companies can claim back the cost of treatment from sessions with Conor.
Conor shares Stepaside Physiotherapy ethos, whereby he looks at the body as one system finding the true cause of your pain and has the ability to guide you through a tailored rehab program to reduce your pain and get back to the things you love doing.
Whether the injury is due your sport or occupation Conor provides an evidence based approach the assessment and treatment of all musculoskeletal conditions
He has extensive experience working with elite and amateur athletes in the U.K, Ireland and U.S and has worked at Sheffield United F.C as an Academy Rehabilitation Specialist. Conor has a keen interest in injury prevention strategies, manual therapies and exercise therapy.
